| Reverb | The Groove King built for Kirk Fletcher's 2016 UK tour was inspired by the AC30 and a 60's Super Reverb, both favourites of Kirks' and interestingly the starting points for the Custom 36 and Custom 44. This time the four-voice reverb is mixed in with the dry signal just before the phase splitter and there is a cathode follower stage driving the tone stack. The NFB (negative feedback) switch on the rear panel allows the amp to be set so the power amp breakup is more immediate providing maximum cleanliness. Of course this can be turned off to give a more progressive breakup. Add to the mix the Variable Headroom and Master Volume controls a huge variety of both clean and dirty tones and different breakup responses can be dialled in. |
